Yatsugatake
Yatsugatake does not refer to a specific mountain, but to a group of mountains that straddle Nagano and Yamanashi prefectures. As one of the 100 famous mountains in Japan, Yatsugatake is loved by many climbers and nature lovers.
These mountains stretch for about 25 km from north to south, and include more than 20 peaks, including the highest peak, Akadake. The northern Yatsugatake mountains have a relatively gentle shape, with quiet lakes and lush forests, while the southern Yatsugatake mountains are characterized by rugged rocky mountains and steep terrain, and are also famous for rock climbing and ice climbing.
The Yatsugatake region is also full of seasonal charm. In July, you can enjoy the beautiful alpine plants, and in October, you can enjoy the autumn leaves.
There are many climbing routes in this area, with a wide variety of courses that can be enjoyed by beginners and advanced climbers alike. Please experience the majestic nature of Yatsugatake and fully enjoy its beauty. You can discuss the course with the accommodation.

Mount Nyugasa
Mount Nyukasa (1,955m above sea level) is a relatively easy mountain to climb, located at the northern end of the Akaishi Mountains (Southern Alps) in Nagano Prefecture. There is a gondola lift and road leading up to the summit, so even beginners can climb with ease. From the summit, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the Southern Alps, Yatsugatake, Mt. Fuji, and the Northern Alps. There are wetlands surrounding the mountain, and beautiful alpine plants can be seen throughout the seasons. It is an activity spot where you can enjoy ski resorts and snowshoe trekking in the winter, and hiking and mountain biking in the summer.
